Initial Consultation

After being warmly greeted by one of our staff, we will meet in a private room were we will attentively listen and further explore your primary health concern and how it is impacting your life.  We will also discuss your overall health (physical, emotional and mental) and your specific health goals.
​This will help establish a better understanding and connection between you and the chiropractor. There is also a thorough explanation of various steps that will be addressed during your first visit and we will answer any of your initial questions.

Assessment

The next step will be a detailed physical and neurological assessment done by the chiropractor looking at the overall balance, function and condition of your spine, muscles and nervous system (you will be fully clothed). This is a necessary step to determine if chiropractic care can help you and to ensure you are in the right office.

We will use a state of the art computerized assessment which uses two specific tests both of which are completely non invasive and safe to use. The first uses thermography, where an infrared laser is used to measure the skin temperature at each spinal segment. If there is a difference in temperature recorded this would mean that there is a change in the dilatation of the blood vessels at that level. The autonomic nerves that control this also controls the your other organ systems. Any imbalance may indicate an underlying problem in the function of these nerves.

The second computer test is a surface EMG scan. This computerized test measures the muscle tension at each level of the spine by using electromyography (EMG). The test compares your readings to an average person of your age, height and weight and looks for muscle imbalances. ​

The final test is a digital posture assessment where digital pictures of your posture is taken and analyzed for physical distortions.  Postural imbalances result in accelerated degeneration, consumes energy and is reflective of aberrant function. 

At the end of your first visit we will assist you by answering any further questions you may have and at the same time assisting you in booking your second visit and first entrainment.

Second Visit

Your second visit will begin with a report of findings.  You will be presented with a detailed description of your current health situation utilizing all of the findings from your first visit and you will receive a print out of your digital posture photos and both computer scans. 

You will also be presented with a care plan designed to empower you which will clearly outline how long it is going to take and how much it is going to cost.

First Entrainment

You will be directed to the entrainment tables, where you will lay, fully clothed, on your stomach.  You will be invited to connect with your breath and relax into the space.  The chiropractor will make a series of specific and gentle contacts along your spine which will help you develop strategies to increase self aware and self adjust.   After the first entrainment many people feel a sense of relaxation and often begin to notice their healing process begin. The Lifehouse is an open concept studio with four tables in the entrainment room.  Current research demonstrates that healing is accelerated when experienced with others. You will also learn from the questions and comments from the people around you.
